Yapei United FC Seeks Buipewura’s Blessings Ahead of 2026 Season

Yapei United FC President Sappor Teye Ibrahim and club officials present the 2026 replica jersey and Citation of Honour to Buipewura Jinapor II at the Buipe Palace.

Yapei United FC has paid a courtesy call on the revered Buipe Palace, where the club's leadership met with His Royal Majesty, Buipewura Jinapor II, ahead of the 2026 football season.

The delegation, led by the club's President, Sappor Teye Ibrahim, used the occasion to formally honour the traditional ruler and reaffirm the club's connection with the Buipe community and the wider Savannah Region.

During the visit, Yapei United FC presented two significant items to the Buipewura.

The first was a Citation of Honour, presented in recognition of His Majesty's support, leadership and patronage of sports and youth development in the area.

The club also presented its official 2026 replica jersey, symbolising Yapei United FC's identity and its ambition to represent the Savannah Region with pride on the national football stage.

A Meeting of Football and Tradition

Beyond the presentation of the items, the visit provided an opportunity for the club's leadership and representatives to engage with the traditional authority on the team's plans and aspirations for the upcoming season.

The club expressed its determination to build on its progress and pursue its football ambitions while continuing to serve as a platform for youth development and community engagement.

The delegation also sought the continued blessings and support of the Buipewura as the team prepares for the challenges ahead.

For Yapei United FC, the visit reflects the important relationship between football, traditional leadership and community development.

Football clubs in local communities often serve a role beyond competition, providing young people with opportunities to develop their talents while fostering a sense of identity and unity.

The club expressed its appreciation to Buipewura Jinapor II for the warm reception and for his continued commitment to youth development through football.

As Yapei United FC looks ahead to the 2026 season, the club will be hoping that the royal blessings received at the Buipe Palace mark the beginning of a successful campaign.
