High Court Freezes Miracles Aboagye’s Bank Accounts, Properties in EOCO Probe

Accra, Ghana — August 3, 2026 — The Accra High Court has granted an application by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) to freeze five bank accounts and four properties linked to former government appointee Dennis Edward Aboagye, popularly known as Miracles Aboagye, as part of an ongoing investigation into alleged financial and procurement-related irregularities.

The court’s decision places restrictions on the affected assets, preventing their withdrawal, transfer, sale, mortgage, or disposal until further directives are issued.

The preservation order was granted following EOCO’s request as the anti-corruption agency continues investigations into activities associated with Mr Aboagye’s tenure as Executive Secretary of the Inter-Ministerial Coordinating Committee on Decentralisation (IMCCoD).

EOCO Investigates Alleged GH¢55 Million Financial Issues

The investigation reportedly centres on suspected financial and procurement-related concerns involving about GH¢55 million.

EOCO is examining transactions, financial records, and procurement processes linked to the institution during the period under review.
