DCE Mahama Fuseini Gifts New Motorbike to Physically Challenged Radio Worker

Central Gonja District Chief Executive, Hon. Mahama Fuseini, has personally purchased and presented a brand-new Apsonic Dash 5 motorbike to DJ Tawesco, a physically challenged worker at Jakpa FM in Buipe.

The gesture came during the Central Gonja District Assembly’s support programme for Persons with Disabilities, where beneficiaries received assistance under the Disability Common Fund.

DJ Tawesco, a native of Buipe and a worker at Jakpa FM, was among those whose circumstances received attention during the event.

Unlike the broader financial support provided through the official programme, the motorbike was a personal donation by the District Chief Executive.

The new Apsonic Dash 5 is expected to provide DJ Tawesco with improved mobility and make it easier for him to commute and carry out his professional and daily activities.

For a person living with a physical disability, access to reliable transportation can have a direct impact on independence, work and participation in community life.

The presentation therefore added a personal dimension to an event primarily focused on institutional support for Persons with Disabilities in the district.

The Central Gonja District Assembly had earlier allocated funds under the Disability Common Fund to support beneficiaries across the district, with the broader programme aimed at providing assistance to persons living with disabilities.

The personal donation by Hon. Mahama Fuseini, however, was separate from that allocation and was made specifically to support DJ Tawesco.
